The panelists discussed the importance of and challenges related to financing from public and private investors, as well as banks. Additionally, the discussion focused on tools to attract investment in gas infrastructure, with an emphasis on long-term strategic planning. Mr. Vermani emphasized the critical need for innovative financing models to achieve India’s gas infrastructure goals. He also shared his insights on fostering public–private partnerships and unlocking private investments across key sectors such as LNG terminals, pipelines, City Gas Distribution, and logistics. Given the long gestation period of gas infrastructure projects, the panel also explored the role of specialized financial institutions in supporting such initiatives.
